Waiting on God

I still have no passport, and I am learning to trust in God. I was told by a wise person that I could follow the example of Shaddrack, Meshack, and Abednigo from the book of Daniel in the Bible. They trusted in the Lord, and even if He chose not to save them, they would trust and worship only Him. SO…even if I don’t get my passport on time, it’s not because He CAN’T get it to me…so I choose to give Him glory in all circumstances.

Staci has an absessed wisdom tooth…better here than in Ukraine…so that will be taken care of before we leave.

The last of the lessons are being finished up, the bags will be packed on Thursday, last minute things on my lists of “to do’s” will be done…and then we will be on our way! I can hardly wait!

The Passport Blues

Wow, do I have the passport blues today!! I sent my passport in to be renewed in March…and I still do not have it back. I finally got through to a person on the phone tonight and mystery of mystery’s…their system was down and they could not tell me where my passport was in the system! Go figure!

BUT….I know that God is in control and that He will get it done in His timing. If you are a praying person, please pray that my passport will come soon, and that I won’t have to make a road trip to Houston to get a passport.

Next week we leave…

It doesn’t seem possible, but Staci and I leave for Dnepropetrovsk, Ukraine on Father’s Day. We will be there until June 29 working with two children’s hospitals, two orphanages, and a local church of Christ. This will be Staci’s first time and this will be my ninth. Our church, Meadow View church of Christ, has really blessed us so much. They have provided funds for us to go and all kinds of supplies to take with us. We will teach children the Bible, work with the hospitals and try and provide some of their needs, and try and make lasting relationships with the orphans. There is just a short while before we leave and so much still to be done. I can harldy wait!
